This artwork is from a new series that evolved out of playful experiments with plants and shadows during lockdown, and is inspired by the Aboriginal proverb 'touching the earth lightly'. Plant cuttings are delicately balanced (like little trees) with bold sun-lit shadows and vibrant colours in a minimal contemporary style.
